To celebrate the 25th anniversary of her Calico Corners franchise, Caryn Shaw is cutting ties with the national fabric and home-decor retailer and branching out on her own. Swatches Home Fabrics & More debuts June 1 at the Symmes Township location where Shaw and her 13 employees built a reputation for giving personal attention to individuals and interior design professionals. Shaw, whose store does about a million dollars in sales annually, planes to try some new business strategies in hopes of growing her sales and customer base under the new name.
